The prevention program consists of educational activities for individuals and groups to help them recognize the warning signs of alcohol, drug, tobacco, and gambling problems and to promote good mental health.  We offer specialized services for both youths and adults.

Our vision is that individuals of all ages will live drug-free and productive lives.  The mission of the prevention program is to empower participants with knowledge and education, to advocate for their success, to develop awareness and hope within at-risk populations and, ultimately, to facilitate insight and behavior change.

Recovery Resources’ prevention programs served more than 5,000 consumers in 2009 in more than a dozen venues throughout the community. All programs incorporate evidence-based best practices with staff maintaining a social work license, Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS) certification or registered applicant status. All Recovery Resources’ prevention programs are Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) certified and also receive audit and review by the local Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Board (ADAMHSB).
