Training: Legal, Ethical, and Professional Responsibilities related to Clinical Supervision

Gain a robust review of the legal and ethical issues associated with clinical supervision.  Learn the most recent rules, laws, and ethics associated with the responsibility of clinical supervision.  Discuss these concepts within the training group to enhance practical application and understanding.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will become aware of the inherent ethical and legal issues associated with clinical supervision.
  • Participants will explore and understand concepts related to competence, due process in evaluation, informed consent, types of supervisor liability, privileged communication, and consultation,
  • Participants will review the most updated regulatory issues including Ohio laws governing the practice of counseling and counseling supervision, professional standards and credentialing processes.

This training is approved for six CEUs through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board and the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage Family Therapist Board and meets the requirements for supervision continuing education.
