The LGBTQ population is becoming more visible but many people have questions about LGBTQ people. This presentation will help attendees build cultural awareness and humility by understanding terminology, being exposed to LGBTQ culture, and assessing personal attitudes and how these attitudes impact work with this population. Attendees will gain awareness and insight into special issues specific to the LGBTQ population and appropriate treatment interventions, including creating a safe therapeutic space.
