As we reflect on 2021 and the second year of the pandemic, it is with tremendous gratitude that we frame and share our thoughts.
We are grateful to our clients for trusting their care and journey to Recovery Resources. We know the first step is the hardest and all the other steps that follow are hard too. We are so proud of our clients and their commitment to working towards healing and recovery.
We are grateful to our employees who have been experiencing the pandemic and challenges right alongside those we provide care and services. The Recovery Resources employees have shown flexibility, creativity and resiliency with the goal of continuing to provide care and services to our clients and the community.
We are grateful to our Board of Directors, who have helped Recovery Resources navigate tremendous change. Our Board members have provided expertise on a variety of topics and helped us make decisions over the course of the pandemic. They recognized and supported our employees and clients during the most difficult times. We could not do our work without their support.
We are grateful for the support of the Associate Board and the Circle of Strength & Hope. The support we received by both organizations helps us provide additional items to our clients such as food, clothing, and transportation. Several of our residential properties received updates last year that increased the morale and pride of those in our housing programs.
We are grateful to the support of the Cuyahoga County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Board, The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration as well as Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services. Through their funding, we are able to provide additional services that are critical to the success of our clients' journeys.
We are grateful to serve as part of the larger community behavioral health continuum through partnerships with the city of Shaker Heights, the Courts, the Jail system, and our affiliate partner, The MetroHealth System. We know that the community and our clients are experiencing better outcomes because of the integrated approach and linkage to care and services.
We are grateful to the school districts we partner with as part of the prevention program we offer to the children in our community. We are grateful to the faith leaders in our community who have embraced the need to learn more about behavioral health and how to help their congregations connect to important resources. We are also grateful for the many organizations who have seen the need for education and training in their organizations as their employees have experienced the challenges associated with the pandemic.
