At Recovery Resources, we offer education and training to
ensure professionals, the community, and workplaces are
prepared to address issues and concerns related to
mental health and substance use.

Training Institute | Speakers Bureau

Recovery Resources provides a robust selection of behavioral health trainings and continuing education courses. Trainings are offered at Recovery Resources locations, off-site as requested, and a selection of trainings are offered in a home study format.

Clinical Treatment

Our trainings offer continuing education for licensed Counselors, Social Workers and Chemical Dependency Professionals licensed in the state of Ohio. We offer trainings suited for emerging and established professionals, through which we work to ensure our professional field is prepared to serve the growing needs of our communities.

Prevention and Health Education

We offer high quality continuing education for Prevention Specialist and Health Educators licensed through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board and the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Specially we offer the six hours of professional growth and responsibility and prevention ethics required for a Ohio Prevention Specialist.

Problem and Disordered Gambling

Problem and Disordered Gambling is an emerging and growing behavioral health concern. Recovery Resources is a leader locally and nationally on training Problem and Disordered Gambling. We host inperson trainings across Ohio. In addition, we offer distance learning opportunities available to anyone from
the comfort of their office or home. We bring in locally and national-renowned speakers covering a variety of topics. Through our state training series, we offer the continuing education required for professionals to pursue their Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor through the National Council on Problem Gambling and the Gambling Endorsement through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an eight-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. A three-year certification in MHFA is available upon completion of the 2-day course. You must attend both days to obtain the MHFA certification. Our nationally certified trainers teach a five-step action plan that will help you assess a situation, implement appropriate interventions, and help the person connect with professional care.

Our staff of experienced, trained professionals will work with your institution or agency to implement comprehensive, best-practice approaches across the spectral of behavioral health.
