Chase the Flavor with Chef Larry Coffman

Meatless Monday - Autumn Comfort Style
 
Via Zoom, Please join us for an online food exper ience. Chef Larry Coffman from Chargin Valley Country Club will cook a meatless Monday meal with us. You buy the ingredients, we provide the recipe, instructions and community - and we’ll chase the flavor together! Donation based cooking class via Zoom. September 16, 2020: Introduction to Mindfulness

Welcome to the world of Mindfulness. This seminar is an interactive one in which participants will be introduced to the concept of Mindfulness and be provided with several techniques to practice. At its core, Mindfulness is an “active” form of meditation. Individuals will learn to attain a stronger hold over their thoughts, feelings, and emotions as they develop their skills and begin practicing. Take some time out of your day and learn why Mindfulness has swept the nation and has become one of the leading strategies individuals use to relive stress, decrease insomnia, cope with sadness, and alleviate anger.

October 21, 2020: Creating a Healthy Space for a Healthy You

Many of us think about trying mindfulness meditation, but it can be hard to know where to begin. Learn how to get started, and begin to feel better, reduce your stress, and enjoy your life a little more. This seminar will ask you to examine some reasons you may have for not trying meditation, and lists a few benefits you could experience once you give it a try, including lowering stress, connecting better with others, improving your focus, and reducing distracting brain chatter.
